Have a Symbian blog? Be awarded!

We want to suggest tiny action with famous Symbian/GSM/Handhelds/etc. blog owners.

If you have any type of public web-resource about mobile life, smartphones, cellulars and other related fields that is older that 6 month and contains at least 50 posts related to Symbian OS platform then you have a change to tune-up your Symbian phone with the latest VerySoft software titles.
Just post short review for any VerySoft Mobile application and let us know about it on

We respect materials that comply with next basic rules of correct blogging: - News must be informative enough;
- 2-3 accompanying screenshots will help to bring the subject to Readers;
- To avoid inaccuracies in major facts it's preferable to consult software developer before post your message;
- Links to official pages, original sources of information, developer's web-portal are a must;

Posts on different languages are very much appreciated - like, Matze's wonderful blog about Symbian platform: E61effect as well as different types of material - like Symbian-review's analytic reviews

Sharing of this post among blogging friends, OS Symbian devoted fellows are highly appreciated.

If you are interested in exclusive news about VerySoft releases, including testing programs' engineer samples, observation of mobile technologies and related information it's the time to unite.

NiceAlarm v.1.5 release news

NiceAlarm v.1.0.9 for Symbian v.8.1 and v.9 smartphones release.

First,
of all we would like to apologize for inconveniences related to usage of the first version.
We think that it will be fair if we try to compensate these anoyances.
All NiceAlarm v.1.0 registered owners that were affected by known issues and posted corresponded message(s) on the official forum can write short e-mail to: We'll answer back with tiny indemnity.
Action will be lasted from 20.Nov - 10.Dec.2007

Secondly,
moving closer to subject. NiceAlarm v.1.5 updates and improvements are listed below. Novelties that were available in the beta-version are described in the previous post "NiceAlarm v.1.0.9 beta" and not listed here. Latest updates:

  • Volume setting improved;
  • Random tone melody selection;
  • Dynamical language selection added;
  • Possibility to expand interface localization with separate sis packages;

Most probably new version will be released very soon.

Thirdly,
there is glad thing but at the same time it irritates us.
We are glad to see your help with localization, but we are always needed to update application's feature which requires additional text to be added. So, every new release or update requires new localization files.
Most likely now all resources that need to be translated will be uploaded to our forum. After translation independent sis packages will be made and released for free downloading.
That's all news for now related to NiceAlarm.

In next few posts I will show forthcoming Symbian software releases from VerySoft. Stay connected.

Translators wanted!

Dear VerySoft software users and blog readers!

We receive lots of e-mails with requests to localize our applications for different languages. As usual, limited resources don't afford us a chance to meet this wish and to present localizations for all languages for the developed programs and nowadays we support only English and Russian localizations.

If you wish to assist us, your nationals and the whole Symbian community and help in translating of the VerySoft applications, don't hesitate to contact us on: and specify your name and known languages.
As soon as new application will be available for beta-testing we will contact all participants and send the data that needs to be translated.

All translators will be granted a free copy of the application for every language of the translation.

You can discuss this suggestion on our forum.

07 DECEMBER 2007 UPDATE: All new versions of the applications from VerySoft Mobile Software department will be published with possibility to install separate localization patches. You can find all available patches and program's resouce files for localization on our forum.

ATTENTION: Don't use unknown third-party localization patches. Download only certified ones from the VerySoft official web-portal.
